JoomlaWatch Daily/All-Time Stats URI 8 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
The Daily/All Time Stats area lists items as a index.php?option=etc long url. This is incredibly hard to read, given I'd have to look up each components number to find out which page I'm actually looking at the statistics for. Is there a way to set this so instead of the URL it lists the page title?

Thanks

Steve

Steve, you will need to modify /components/com_joomlawatch/config.php and change the value of JOOMLAWATCH_TRUNCATE_VISITS from 40 to something higher (i have 140). When you set it high enough, the page title will be displayed as well, although you will still have the (non-linked) URI after the linked page title.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the replies. I did read the JoomlaWatch only logs index.php topic, but I think they're asking something slightly different than my question.

I also modified the value of JOOMLAWATCH_TRUNCATE_VISITS (as well as JOOMLAWATCH_TRUNCATE_STATS) which greatly improved the readability of the addresses of each site. I thank you for that.

However, I'm still curious if, on the right panel where the Daily/All-Time page hits stats are located, if there's a way to display the page title in addition to or instead of the page's address.

For Example, my site looks like this:

All-time stats
All-time URI
collapse uri

/ 301 56.3%

/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=26 29 5.4%

/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=94&Itemid=1 26 4.8%

/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=29 22 4.1%

/index.php?option=com_easygallery&Itemid=31 11 2%

/index.php?option=com_easygallery&act=categories&cid=14&Itemid=31 9 1.6%

/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ionid=1&id=24&Itemid=40 8

Which works, since I can click on each one to see what page that actually is, but when I have a list of 50 or more addresses in that list, it's a bit confusing to find how popular one page is by it's URL instead of page title.

Ah.. sorry then,
yes you are right, it will increase readability.
The problem is, that URI is the value that is being stored into the database.

To change it, I would have to add a new column (because it might happen, that two sites have the same title, but not the same uri), so it would require quite a complex change and table alterations, but I'll try that.

I'll add a configuration parameter for that, so users could switch it off an on.

Hey, joomla programmers: Isn't there joomla function that just returns a title from URI ? This would make the whole thing easier.

So, please, be patient

In the meantime, you can try to do the following:
Change
JoomlaWatch :: increaseKeyValueInGroup("uri", $uri);
to
JoomlaWatch :: increaseKeyValueInGroup("uri", $mainframe->getPageTitle());

in
class.joomlawatch.php

but i'm not sure if it will work.

You will need to empty the jos_joomlawatch_info table then, because otherwise the uris would be mixed with titles.

Regards,

Matto
