Maybe there's a javascript error.
In firefox choose from the main menu: Tools -> Error console
then, switch to "All", press "Clear",
and then try to access the joomlawatch interface from the administration.
It seems like some kind of javascript error is preventing AJAX request to be performed.
Please post these information you found in this error console here, so I can have a look at it.
Cheers,
Matto

Thanks guys,
but both of the error console dumps are ok, they have nothing to do with joomlawatch !
So there may be some other problem there. Javascript works well in your case (hope you have it turned on)
Try to do the following:
Log into the administration, choose JoomlaWatch component, then -> View Page source from your browser menu.
In this source, search for a string: var rand='YOURNUMBER'; (where YOURNUMBER is a confidential 9-digit number)
This number is different for every installation , because of the security reasons, so other users won't access your stats from outside and it's generated during the installation process.
remember this number, and try to access these sites with it:
www.YOURSITE.com/components/
com_joomlawatch/visits.php?rand=YOURNUMBER
and
www.YOURSITE.com/components/
com_joomlawatch/stats.php?rand=YOURNUMBER
Normaly, you should see generated visits, and stats.

You don't have permission to access /components/com_joomlawatch/visits.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

?
Just going to visits.php says this: You don't have any permissions to view this !

Hi, I haven't had much time to answer, and I'm writing this reply from my cell phone.
Ask your system administrator how to set permissions to these files or, You can do it by yourself using ftp client or unix chmod command. There are settings in joomla regarding chmodding the new files as well. So, try to set it to 777 and reinstall.

And.. visits.php is ok, the message you've seen is generated by the script itself. It's a security feature. The file has to be accesed with additional parameter, that's unique for every installation. Otherwise anyone would be able to see your stats.

It really works, so what should I do next to make it work i cPanel?

Hi, the solution after my long investigation is:
There may be a problem with permissions of your folders. Your webhosting provider may restricts the access to folders which have permissions of 777 (read/write/execute for Owner/Group/World).
You should have the correct folder permissions set to 755 (read/write/execute for Owner and Read for Group/World) for folders and 644 for files (Read/Write for Owner, Read for Group/World)
This applies to all folders in which is the joomlawatch.js.php, -> components,
com_joomlawatch, js .. check and set the correct permissions
I would also like to thank Charles Fernandez from www.heavensapartments.com who made allowed me find the cause of this problem on his hosting provider.
You can use Total Commander (ghisler.com) to access your FTP (Ctrl + N). Then, when connected, and with cursor on folder, click Files -> Change Attributes
