Real Users Showing Up As Bots. 7 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

I was going to as why all my users are showing up as bots? Just wondering because I had my friend online at another location and I could see everything he was doing, but he was not as a "visitor" but a "bot".

Why would it do this?

Any help is greatly appricated.

Check, whether the JoomlaWatch icon is being loaded properly. The img.php?rand=... from your frontend. Also try to open it (www.yoursite.com/components/com_joomlawatch/img.php?rand=....) and see whether there is no 500 Internal Server Error.

I have the same issue as Ryan and checked that the image was loading properly on front-end and it does !

I do not show the JoomlaWatch icon or flag icons on any of my front end pages, but otherwise JoomlaWatch seems to work well. I can view the JoomlaWatch icon by navigating to www.mysite.com/components/com_joomlawatch/img.php?rand=.... . I have noticed, when looking at 'View Page Source' that any reference to JoomlaWatch icons or images shows the location of these files incorrectly. For instance 'www.mysite.com\/components/com_joomlawat...php?rand=19917' or 'www.mysite.com\/components/com_joomlawatch/flags/us.png' .

I'm sure that the extra ' \ ' is preventing these images from loading on the page, but I'm not sure where to go to fix this problem. Any ideas?

Thank you.

I also see no visitors, only bots. The image does load per your instructions but I don't see it on the pages of my site. I do see this in my footer:

Try to disable SEF/SEO in global settings joomla. Somehow this does not work well together. Still waiting for a fix.

It seems that when enabling SEF/SEO the image can't be loaded because of the insertion of index.php

mysite.com/components/com_joomlawatch/img.php?rand=66613
works

mysite.com/index.php/components/com_joom...h/img.php?rand=66613
Does not works

Hope this helps to fix the problem
