is it possible to show the members, who where online today in frontend? I would like to show who´s was online today in a module or in the joomla-watch-stats! That would be great!!!

Nice idea, I'll think about it. But I think you can already see it in the JoomlaWatch backend stats for the current day.

Yes, I can see it in the backend. So I think it can´t be very difficult to show it in frontend. It would be perfect, if it show the time, too.

And the time next to the user name is the time they made the first visit that day, correct?
It would require an additional table, but I'll think about it. Currently, I'm quite busy with refactoring of the existing code. But you are right, it could be a great addition.
I suppose you would not like to list all of that users (imagine a site having 200 or more registered user visits / day). What users we would prefer then?

You don´t have to list each one in a new line... The site, which inspirated me, shows it in a block. There are between 150 to 200 members online a day.

NOW I would like to show all of my users (currently 20 to 30 users every day), but you´re right, when they grow.... Can it be solved with an expand function? Perhaps - Let the respective admin decide the indicated number of shown users (with or without an expand function) I think to show the sum of the users for today is very important! (in the head)

Another important thing is to forward to the user-profile (community builder, fireboard profile....), when you click on the username.

thank you. I've made something like that today. Just check this website's right panel (Users). The urls to community builder or fireboard would be great addition too, but unfortunately I don't have none of them installed. Could you please provide them to me?
The user could then choose in the back-end, whether there has to be a link, and if, to which tool it has to link to.

Thank you. I finally had some free time. This will be available as a _dev version first (not bundled yet, because I've made a lot of refactoring of the existing code, so it needs more adjustments). Thank you again for the nice idea and that URLs. I'm just thinking about some additional anti-spambot features, something like a list of suspicious IPs.. something that would be nice to have against several form submitters.
Something like an editable blacklist in the back-end. Every time the JoomlaWatch could check whether the user/bot posted something like "vi*gra, pills" (some most common words), the ip would be banned.

Are you using the Language setting as german.utf-8.php ?
If so, please have a look at the /components/com_joomlawatch/lang/
and try to find that string _JW_FRONTEND_USERS_MOST in german.utf-8.php
It seems like it's not there. If so, please download the LATEST file from this website 1.2.8b_ from 13.4.2009

I've sent the new string for translations to the volunteer JW translators, but for the german version there still no reply. (Maybe, you could supply your own translation of that few untranslated sentences there? Just a suggestion, you don't have to).

I hope this will work for you, it seems just like that string was missing in that localization file at the time you've downloaded it (the first version which contained your feature)

The string _JW_FRONTEND_USERS_MOST is there! I´ve tried with other languages but there´s no result. I also tried to change some words in the language file and nothing happens... It´s strange...

you were unfortunately right. The line:

require_once (JPATH_BASE . DS . "components" . DS . "com_joomlawatch" . DS . "lang" . DS . $joomlaWatch->config->getLanguage().".php");


was missing in mos_joomlawatch_users.php (which loads the language file).
I had some other modules first which loaded it, but in your case the user module was the first one so there was no way how it could load it.

Please insert this line into /modules/mod_joomlawatch_users/mod_joomlawatch_users.php right after: $joomlaWatch = new JoomlaWatch();

or get the version I've uploaded today and reinstall.
